ON Regional Economic Development

Have you heard the term Community Economic Development but you’re not sure exactly what it means? It’s not simply the application of a “do this and you’ll get that” strategy but rather a process that a community can undertake to identify and use
resources to attract capital and increase physical, commercial, and business development and job opportunities for its residents. OMAFRA’s Regional Economic Development Branch has been offering a series of CED 101 seminars across the province this spring to bolster understanding of the principles of economic development at the community level.
