UOIT’s Agriculture Leadership Certificate Program- Registration now open

Interests

Understanding the economic importance of agriculture in Ontario is crucial. With a growing population, it is vital that we invest in educating and informing individuals about the economic importance of agriculture and the agri-food business in Ontario’s economy.

In efforts to combat the growing disconnect, the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), in collaboration with the Management Development Centre (MDC), introduced the Agriculture Leadership Certificate program. This program consists of five highly interactive sessions that occur from January-March. These sessions include:

  • Leadership Development
  • Human Resources & Management
  • Marketing and Advocacy for Agriculture
  • Communication Essentials
  • Change Management and Next Steps

Costs to participate vary depending on the amount of sessions one wishes to partake in, and range from $450 (+HST) per course to $1,700 (+HST) for the 5-day certificate program.

These sessions aim to provide individuals with an understanding of their own leadership style, and the skills required in order to succeed in the agriculture industry. Click here for information on how to register http://mdc.uoit.ca/our-programs/agricultural-leadership-program.php#fndtn-tab5
