The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA) and the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) announced the launch of the D
igital Main Street Grant Program.
The Digital Main Street Grants Program provides funding to qualifying small “main street” businesses and community business groups to enhance their online promotion, selling and operations. It will help businesses adapt to the digital economy with new technologies from e-commerce to social media platforms. Digital Main Street not only aims to strengthen rural communities but also help local small businesses embrace new technologies that will expand their digital capabilities and increase their competitiveness.
There are two types of grants available
- Digital Transformation Grant: which helps small businesses purchase and strategically adopt digital tools and technologies to meet their digital goals. The grant will offer $2,500 to each small business that qualifies. Apply now
- Digital Service Squad Grant: which will be available to qualifying municipal or business groups to develop and implement local squads of digital vendors and experts. Digital Service Squads will directly help small businesses by providing training, consulting and advisory services and provide one-on-one assistance to small main street businesses. Grants of $10,000 are available to qualifying municipal or business groups. Apply now
