‘Tradition, Innovation and Regeneration’, the 14th annual Municipal Agriculture Economic Development and Planning Forum is open for registration! This event will take place in Brant County on November 2 and November 3, 2022.
This Forum will be of interest to all those involved in economic development or planning. While on a bus tour of Brant County farms and agricultural businesses, participants will visit and learn about multi-generational agri-business, innovations in agriculture and on-farm diversified uses.
On the second day, Forum topics will focus on:
- The Agriculture and Food Workforce – learn how workforce challenges are affecting the Ag sector. Hear about projects, incentives, policies and bylaws that address agricultural workforce challenges.
- Agriculture, Environment and Partnerships – get an appreciation of how sustainable agriculture supports the environment as well as agricultural businesses. Speakers will highlight how teamwork makes the dream work.
- The Agricultural System – is an important part of planning and sustainable economic development. Provincial, Municipal and Ag Business presenters will demonstrate the benefits of incorporating an agricultural systems approach.
