Cost-Share Funding Assistance For Organizations

The Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) is a federal-provincial-territorial initiative that assists with the advancement of Ontario’s agri-food and agri-products sectors, while focusing on key achievements related to economic development, environmental stewardship, and protection and insurance. CAP will be building on the success of Growing Forward 2 (GF2) to create further growth for Ontario’s agri-food and agri-products sectors.

All cost-share funding assistance is merit-based and will support targeted projects in three priority areas, with research and innovation continuing to be important across all programming:

  • Economic Development in the agri-food and agri-products sectors
  • Environmental Stewardship to enhance water quality and soil health
  • Protection and Assurance to reinforce the foundation for public trust in the sector through improved assurance systems in food safety and plant and animal health

The first application intake window will open on March 15, 2018 and close on April 5, 2018

In order to receive cost-share funding assistance for organizations and collaborations under CAP, you must be an eligible applicant and submit a project that meets the requirements defined for the project category. There are 19 project categories across the 3 priority areas, each designed to target specific outcomes. Information including what criteria labels a project as eligible or ineligible is found in Appendix 1 of the CAP program guide.
