Save On Energy – Strategic Energy Manager Program

Interests

Beginning in 2023, Ontario’s Independent Electricity System Operator (the IESO) has offered a Strategic Energy Management (SEM) Program to industry. This program was designed to help businesses improve their energy performance by implementing an integrated system of organizational practices, policies, and processes to achieve persistent energy savings.

The SEM program provides its participants with knowledge, expertise and training in energy management that can help increase profitability through reduced energy costs and improved productivity, build team skills and help you achieve carbon reduction and environmental targets.

There is a two-year time commitment for participants who get a free energy scan, access to $5,000 in enabling incentives. The program does not penalize participants for implementing electrification measures which may increase your overall electricity use.
