Upcoming Business Retention and Expansion Training – October 17 in South Porcupine, ON

Is your community planning to further engage with businesses or initiate a Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) project this year? If so, sign up for a one-day, in-person BR+E training session planned for October 17, 2023.

This session will be delivered by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, in partnership with the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.

Location:  Boreal Room, Ontario Government Complex. 5520 Hwy 101 East, P.O. Bg 3060. South Porcupine ON P0N 1C0

Cost: Free. You will be responsible for covering your own lunch, which will be ordered in.

Registration: Deadline for registration in Friday, October 13, 4 pm.

What you will learn: Your community will learn to identify actions to support local businesses and foster growth. Using a structured BR+E process you will learn how to:

  • prioritize business engagement
  • identify key challenges and opportunities
  • provide insights to enable the development of long-term goals and actions

BR+E fundamentals (the four stages of the OMAFRA BR+E process) will be covered in this training.
